A Trip To Vancity

Yes, this is a travel type blog. Well I guess not because I don't plan on discussing what I did in British Columbia, at least not in detail, but I rather focus on why you should travel. It you teaches you a lot of things like patience, helps build confidence and even allows you to be independent. When we first landed in British Columbia, I was informed that my luggage was on the wrong plane and will arrive 2 hours later. You would expect me to be mad but shockingly I wasn't. I just adjusted our plans a little bit and decided to go with the flow. We ended up getting food and went to secure our car from the rental place. More bad news, they did not have the car that I requested over the phone. Again, you would expect me to freak out but I didn't. Even though it felt like the odds were against me, it ended up working out in our favour because we ended up with an even better car.

Is she not beautiful? Yeah, I am talking about the car.

The reason that I brought up this experience of mine is because I did not let a bad/negative moment dictate my trip. To be honest, I had a great trip with my cousins and had the opportunity to see a lot of interesting things. Our trip literally went from being planned to going with the flow.

Is going with the flow a little risky?

It definitely is, especially when you do not know the area you are in. However, the reward for us was that we were able to explore some cool spots just by pulling over on the highway and walking around. For example, we found this super nice boating dock and I made it clear to my cousins that if I see anything that looks appealing, we are pulling over. Well to be honest, they had no choice because I was the only designated driver so they had to go along with what I said.

We started to get creative because we took a gondola, 3/4 of the way, up a mountain. One of the locals told us a nice way to ditch the path and climb the mountain because of the view. Honestly, never believe when a local tells you that it is an easy climb. It was difficult getting up, as it was coming back down. But I am not going to lie, it was definitely worth it.

Amazing, right?

To be honest, this picture does not do the scenery justice. Which is kind of sad considering that I am a photographer. I am just glad that I had the opportunity to be there.

Okay so what is the point of all this chit-chat?

Its simple, GO EXPLORING.

There is a lot of see, whether you plan it or just go with the flow. Don't let the small things prevent you from potentially having a great time. I recommend going to Vancouver, or anywhere in British Columbia, because it has such a beautiful environment and there is plenty to explore by just going with the flow.

How did I plan my trip to Vancouver?

If you are curious on how I planned my trip, I used the website www.narcity.com to find some popular spots in British Columbia. I also watched a Vancouver travel vlog by Potato Jet, it helped with being able to see the places and hearing someone's opinion while they are there. I will include the link to the video below so that you watch the video too, regardless if you plan on going to Vancouver.
